We are proud to announce the induction of Carolyn Moncada, concierge at Waldorf Astoria Orlando,   into  Les Clefs d’Or USA.

You can recognize Les Clefs d’Or concierges by the keys they display on the lapels of their uniforms. These crossed gold keys are more than just the symbol of the organization; they are the symbol of excellence and quality service.

Les Clefs d’Or, pronounced “lay clay door,” is French and literally translates as “keys of gold.”  Les Clefs d’Or USA  is the only national organization of hotel lobby concierges.

We know.  Our mothers have always said that it isn’t nice to brag.  So, it is with much… um… hesitation.. that we share the following news.  (And, for a Hilton team, it is AMAZING news, indeed…)

Orlando Hotel Wins Hilton's Top Award

On the final day of Award Week for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, it was just announced that Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek (as well as our older sibling Hilton Orlando) was awarded the highest honor for the corporation, the Connie Award, named after brand founder Conrad Hilton.  This elusive honor, in the large hotel category for the Americas,  is awarded to the hotel with highest overall combined ranking for loyalty, service, condition, and cleanliness based on guest feedback and Quality Assurance scores.

Congratulations to the entire team for winning the Connie Award, including Peter Kacheris, managing director; and Tracy Walker, general manager.

And what a week it’s been!  Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek received the top honors (in the large hotel category) in the categories of Housekeeping (we’ve got the cleanest rooms in the Americas!), Food & Beverage (our restaurants have been singled out as the most innovative!), and cultural and community activities (we’ve got Hilton Blue Energy!).  The Connie Award simply takes the cake… and (in our eyes) makes it a clean sweep!

And, yes, we apologize for bragging.  But when a team works this hard, it warms the heart to see such recognition.  And you want to share it with anybody who will listen!  Please help us to celebrate our success.  It has been our pleasure to provide a memorable guest experience for the past year.

It’s a gift Mom will remember forever!

Looking for a memorable way to spend Mother’s Day?  How about a holiday getaway to Orlando, where you can enjoy the Mother’s Day Breakfast In Bed Experience?

Get ready for super cute stuff.

On Mother’s Day morning (Sunday May 13), your children can become little gourmet chefs at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, as they  help to prepare (and plate) breakfast for mom, alongside the staff at Harvest Bistro.

And, because most moms love flowers, your kids can create a fresh flower bouquet, to delivered along with breakfast in bed.  Yes, the breakfast that your children helped to prepare and plate will be delivered to mom in her guest room, with the help of our in-room dining servers.

The Mother’s Day Breakfast In Bed Experience is available to all guests, for $24 per adult.  Reservations can be made at the Front Desk during check in, or through the Concierge team.

For Dinner, Harvest Bistro will feature a Mother’s Day Seafood Dinner Buffet from 5pm until 10pm. Prices: $29/adult, $14/child.  Remember that Kids Eat Free at Harvest Bistro, up to two children per full-priced adult meal. And, of course, dinner includes one complimentary glass of champagne and a flower for mom!

At the Sena lobby bar, we will feature $4 Mother’s Day Mimosas all day long.

And don’t miss dinner at La Luce by Donna Scala, where we will highlight special holiday features.

The rest of the weekend is yours to enjoy! Maybe it’s an afternoon at our neighboring Disney theme parks, time at our lazy-river pool, or a special Mother’s Day Weekend spa or golf experience at the adjacent Waldorf Astoria Spa by Guerlain or Waldorf Astoria Golf Club.

For reservations, please call  888-353-2013, or visit our website.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando has put the destination on the map for luxury travelers.  Nestled within a nature preserve and conveniently accessed from within Walt Disney World property, the resort is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of neighboring theme parks.  Cara Goldsbury, author of Luxury Guide to Disney World, calls it “stunningly impressive.”  “Swank and sophisticated,” she continued, “Waldorf Astoria has redefined local luxury in Orlando.”

The hotel infuses timeless Jazz Age-elegance from The Waldorf=Astoria in New York City, with the vibrant and modern ambiance of Florida.  It features 498 guest rooms and suites with sweeping vistas of Disney and the Bonnet Creek nature preserve.

Re-imagined versions of famed New York City restaurants include Bull & Bear restaurant and Oscar’s.  The spa offers treatments from Guerlain, the legendary Parisian fragrance house.  Golf Channel travel writer Brandon Tucker called it “an exclusive playground for the adult-minded traveler.”
